The Arab Bank Limited, under the leadership of Chairman and General Manager Abdul Majeed Shoman, expressed willingness to cooperate with FIDCO concerning a fund to reconstruct Lebanon. The bank confirmed its capacity to handle a financial transaction of "US$ three billion or more" for this purpose, provided the conditions in Lebanon were clear and subject to the approval and counter guarantees of the Lebanese Authority.1
