Seymour was a reporter for a small newspaper in a remote community near Yosemite Valley. Her work on The Last Circle involved extensive investigation into organized crime, drug trafficking, money laundering, and pirated software, following the trail of Danny Casolaro’s investigation into what he termed "The Octopus."1
