United Acceleration Front
United Acceleration Front was a Telegram coalition of neo-fascist accelerationist entities that emerged in early 2021 around Feuerkrieg Division and InJekt Division, and whose website shared a server address with two allied groups.
United Acceleration Front (UAF) was one of two coalition brands that appeared on Telegram in early 2021 within the milieu known as Terrorgram. The other was the National Socialist Coalition, which the same report also calls the National Socialist Alliance. Both described themselves as spinoffs of Atomwaffen Division.1
Documentation
The principal record is a June 2022 report by the Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism (Middlebury Institute CTEC) and Tech Against Terrorism, produced with the Accelerationism Research Consortium. Its authors downloaded Telegram channels, groups and chats nearly daily from June 2021 to February 2022 and identified 21 entities in the network.12 They recorded UAF as entity 21, under a heading for coalitions that also lists the Iron Order Alliance and the National Socialist Alliance, and noted that it was highly likely that at least three of those entities were administered by a single individual or group.3
Feuerkrieg Division and InJekt Division
The report places Feuerkrieg Division (FKD) at the centre of both coalitions. It states that FKD was created in 2018, went dormant during 2020, and re-emerged in 2021 with a new co-leader, referred to in the report by the pseudonym Hergle Zelea, who "served as a core organiser in the development of UAF and National Socialist Alliance". The report states that FKD re-emerged to promote InJekt Division, that InJekt announced an "alliance" with FKD in June 2021, and that InJekt and FKD "provided established networks and aesthetic machinery to help build" the two coalitions.3 The report states that it is unclear whether the 2021 FKD Telegram entity was operationally linked to the 2018 group.4
The Home Office list of proscribed groups records that Feuerkrieg Division was proscribed in the United Kingdom in July 2020.5 The Middlebury Institute's profile states that the group is also proscribed in Australia and Canada.6
Entities named in UAF material
A propaganda poster that the UAF Telegram channel disseminated lists the International White Syndicate, Kampfhund, the National Socialist Alliance, Kampfer Division and Waldjager Division. A poster from the separate Iron Order channel lists InJekt Division, the National Socialist Liberation Front, the National Partisan Movement, The Base Italia, Reinstes Division, Kriegwaffen Division, BFA, Totenwaffen Division, the New Co-Prosperity Sphere and Atomwaffen Division Argentina.7
Shared hosting
Domain records examined by Tech Against Terrorism showed that the domains of the United Acceleration Front, the National Socialist Alliance and the International White Syndicate "were at one point all hosted on the same IP address", and that the three were inactive by the time of writing. The report states that the National Socialist Alliance site changed its top-level domain at least twice between November 2021 and January 2022, and that the sites in the network used the domains .xyz, .tk and .eu5.org.8
The authors assessed that the apparent strength of the network "may be artificially inflated by its creators", citing a handful of administrators who managed several channels at once and several websites hosted on one address.9
Propaganda and platform history
The report states that none of the items shared by UAF or the National Socialist Alliance appeared to be new and that the material recycled content from Atomwaffen Division and the Iron March forum, including imagery by the propagandist known as Dark Foreigner and the "Siegefont" typeface associated with Siege Culture, the doctrine drawn from James Mason's book. All propaganda that the two coalitions posted themselves carried a logo or phrase and contact details for end-to-end encrypted email addresses.10
The report states that entities in the network usually established themselves on Telegram, directed users to websites or encrypted email, and within days or weeks were deplatformed, deleted themselves or ceased activity; three InJekt Division channels active between August and December 2021 had all been suspended by Telegram's content moderators. At least three coalitions arose during the monitoring period, and the report records frequent infighting among administrators.11 The report states that at least ten of the 21 entities appeared to be still active online when it was written, and that the UAF domains were not among the live sites.811
InJekt Division founder
The report states that "in June 2021, officials in Texas thwarted a plot to attack a Walmart by an active member and suspected cofounder" of InJekt Division.9 Vice News reported on May 31, 2021 that the Kerr County Sheriff's Office had arrested Coleman Thomas Blevins on a warrant for a terroristic threat, that a photograph released by the office showed a shirt bearing the InJekt Division logo, and that members of the Telegram community said he had used the name "Korb Taran".12 Blevins pleaded guilty on November 28, 2023 to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and was sentenced in May 2024 to five years in prison in the Western District of Texas. The charges had initially included making a terroristic threat.13
