The Stokowski Affair
The American known as Dr Stanley Stokowski, a director of the ethanol plant of Chemical Technology Limited at Clandeboye, lived at Hadlow until mid-March 1984, when he left the country on a stolen passport.1 In the weeks that followed, police searched properties at Clandeboye and Hadlow.2 The man was the fugitive R.C. Horsch.
