Eddy Erdelatz was a former San Francisco Police inspector. In 2000, he provided a valuable lead about an obscure file, the "Paul Morasca Homicide Investigation File – Case No. 82-1052505," which had not been computerized and was essentially inaccessible without direct knowledge of its existence. Erdelatz had investigated suspected drug trafficking and money laundering in 1981, and then investigated Paul Morasca's homicide in January 1982, placing a comprehensive report within the file relative to Philip Arthur Thompson's suspected connections to the murder.1
