Woody Allen
American filmmaker who dined with Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew in 2010, exchanged messages with Epstein into 2016, and whose household thanked Epstein in 2017 over a Bard admission.
Woody Allen is an American filmmaker. Records released by the Justice Department under the Epstein Files Transparency Act show him and Soon-Yi Previn among the guests at a December 2, 2010 dinner for Prince Andrew at Jeffrey Epstein's Manhattan house, seventeen months after Epstein's release from custody in Florida; a direct text-message exchange with Epstein on New Year's Eve 2015; a May 2015 request from Epstein to the former White House Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler about a White House tour for the couple; Epstein's use of a proposed dinner with Allen in August 2016 to arrange a meeting with Tom Barrack; and a January 2017 message from Allen's household thanking Epstein for a Bard College admission, which Bard denied Epstein had influenced.12345
The Dinner for Prince Andrew
On December 1, 2010 the publicist Peggy Siegal wrote to the ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos: "I am putting together a very last minute casual dinner for Prince Andrew, who is in New York on an unofficial private visit." Her guest list read: "Prince Andrew, Woody Allen and Soon-Yi, Katie Couric....Jeffrey Epstein, where Andrew is staying. Jeffrey's house is one the largest single dwellings in New York...it's beautiful." Stephanopoulos accepted, and Siegal told him the dinner would begin at 8 p.m.: "So come on time and you will have private time with Andrew because he is staying at the house." The chain was preserved in Epstein's email account.1
The White House Tour
In May 2015 Epstein asked Ruemmler, then in private practice, about arranging a White House tour for Allen and Previn, writing, "I assume woody would be too politically sensitive?" Ruemmler indicated that she could arrange it, and White House records show that the tour took place in December 2015.3
New Year's Eve 2015
A forensic extraction of one of Epstein's devices, produced in the Justice Department release, contains an iMessage thread with a contact saved as "Woody Allen" running from December 31, 2015 to January 1, 2016. The messages concern a dinner that night: "Tomorw ok as well whatever easy"; Epstein asked, "Are you coming over?"; the reply was "That's specific. ;)"; and later, "We're running late. We won't be leaving here until 9 o'clock...If you need us to come and get in the car at 8:25 we can leave our guests. Please advise."2
The Barrack Dinner
On August 28, 2016, when Barrack, then a senior adviser to Donald Trump's campaign, reported that he had met Epstein's "Saudi friend," Epstein told him to download the encrypted messaging application Signal and asked, "When are you in New York? Tonite? Dinner with Woody?" Barrack replied that he was in Turkey and would download the application.46
Bard College
In January 2017 the daughter of Allen and Previn wrote to Bard's president, Leon Botstein, that Bard was her first choice; Botstein replied on January 10 that he would pass her sentiments "on to the admissions committee," and Previn forwarded the exchange to Epstein. On January 12, 2017 Allen's household wrote to Epstein by iMessage: "I can't thank you enough for getting [her] into Bard ... Thank you for coming through for us." Bard denied that Epstein had any role in the admission decision. On June 17, 2026 Representative Jamie Raskin, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, wrote to the chair of Bard's board of trustees about the college's relationship with Epstein, quoting a WilmerHale memorandum to the trustees.57
