Shippi Strang was a friend and early manager of Uri Geller. He encouraged Geller to put on his first public performance of mind reading and metal-bending in a Tel Aviv school hall in 1969. Strang's encouragement was instrumental in Geller's decision to pursue a public career as a psychic entertainer, which eventually led to his international fame.1
