Kenneth A. Roe was a Director of FIDCO and served as the Chairman and President ofBurns & Roe, Inc., an international engineering and construction corporation. Burns & Roe, Inc. was a family corporation owned by Kenneth Roe and his family.1
Under Roe's leadership, Burns & Roe, Inc. was involved in major projects, including the engineering design and construction of the U.S.A. Fast Breeder Nuclear Reactor Plant in conjunction with Westinghouse Electric Corporation, which was responsible for the nuclear system supply of steam. At the time, the construction value of Burns & Roe, Inc.'s business backlog exceeded six billion U.S. dollars.1
His involvement with FIDCO placed him among a group of influential individuals with ties to government and intelligence, including Robert Maheu, Michael A. McManus, Robert Booth Nichols, and George K. Pender.1
