Dyer Grossman

Key figure in 1970s child exploitation networks who co-drafted the charter for Brother Paul's Children's Mission enabling transport of boys to North Fox Island.

Dyer Grossman served as a key figure in child exploitation networks during the 1970s. He associated closely with Francis Shelden in establishing organizations for child procurement. He operated through The Church of New Revelation, a New Jersey-based entity created solely on paper to gain tax-exempt status for affiliated programs. Grossman hailed from a wealthy Long Island family and worked as a science teacher at an exclusive New York boarding school for boys.1

Role in Operations

Dyer Grossman co-drafted the incorporating charter for Brother Paul’s Children’s Mission after traveling to Michigan to meet Gerald Richards. This charter enabled the mission to function as a non-profit subsidiary of his fabricated church, facilitating the transport of boys to North Fox Island for exploitation. Grossman corresponded with Richards on establishing foster homes in Michigan to house runaways and problem children for government payments, explicitly noting the financial benefits of such arrangements.1

Connections

Dyer Grossman connected directly with Francis Shelden as a principal in Brother Paul’s Children’s Mission, both sought by state and federal authorities on criminal sexual conduct charges. He collaborated with Adam Starchild in linking the mission to The Church of New Revelation. Grossman procured a 12-year-old boy through a Big Brother program, describing him as innocent and planning camping trips to alter that status, while the church linked to operations at Father Bud's Boys Farm run by Cladius Vermilye.1
