Adel Mohammad Atamna
Palestinian student and friend of Ari Ben-Menashe who was the target of an attempted SHABAK recruitment of Ben-Menashe as an informant.
Adel Mohammad Atamna was a Palestinian from the Arab village of Kfar Kara'a, located within the pre-1967 Israeli border. He was a student at Bar Ilan University in 1972, where he became friends with Ari Ben-Menashe.1
Atamna invited Ben-Menashe to teach English at his village high school. Their friendship deepened when Atamna's Jewish landlady evicted him for being Arab, leading Ben-Menashe to offer him his apartment. Atamna referred to Ben-Menashe as his brother.1
Atamna was the individual SHABAK attempted to recruit Ben-Menashe to spy on, an offer Ben-Menashe refused.1
