Lost Mountain Tissue Bank
Georgia tissue processor that received tissue directly from Biomedical Tissue Services and recalled it in 2005.
The Lost Mountain Tissue Bank, Inc., of Kennesaw, Georgia, was one of the five tissue processors that, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, received tissue directly from Biomedical Tissue Services, the company of Michael Mastromarino, and recalled it in September and October 2005 after the Food and Drug Administration learned that the tissue had been taken from corpses without consent. The others were Regeneration Technologies, LifeCell, Tutogen Medical, and the Central Texas Regional Blood and Tissue Center.1
