Asana
Work-management software company founded in 2008 by Dustin Moskovitz and Justin Rosenstein, controlled by Moskovitz, whose board long included OpenAI director Adam D'Angelo and which buys AI services from OpenAI and Anthropic.
Asana was co-founded by Dustin Moskovitz, who had been chief technology officer and vice president of engineering at Facebook, and Justin Rosenstein, a former Facebook engineering manager and Google product manager. Moskovitz has been a director since December 2008 and chairman since December 2019, and was chief executive from October 2010 to July 2025, chief financial officer from 2009 to 2017 and secretary from 2009 to 2017. Dan Rogers, formerly chief executive of LaunchDarkly, succeeded him as chief executive in July 2025.1 In 2016 Sam Altman led a 50-million-dollar investment in the company.2

According to the company's 2026 proxy statement, Moskovitz held 38.6 percent of the Class A and 87.0 percent of the Class B common stock, 74.2 percent of the total voting power, through direct holdings, the Dustin A. Moskovitz Trust of December 27, 2005, a Roth IRA and 1,720,916 Class A shares held by the Good Ventures Foundation, on whose board "Mr. Moskovitz and his spouse serve as directors." On September 7, 2022, he acquired 19,273,127 Class A shares in a private placement, granting Asana an irrevocable proxy over them.1
