• Percy Foreman Houston defense lawyer who took James Earl Ray's literary rights as his fee and delivered his guilty plea in 1969, briefly represented Jack Ruby, and was indicted with the Hunt brothers in 1975.
• William Bradford Huie Writer who in 1951 pressed the CIA on a 50,000 dollar bribe to French Communists and in 1968 bought James Earl Ray's story through his lawyers, paying Hanes and Foreman shares a court found irregular.
