• Department of Homeland Security Cabinet department created by the Homeland Security Act of 2002, which took over the Secret Service from the Treasury in 2003 and houses the statutory Office of Intelligence and Analysis.
• Homeland Security Investigations Investigative directorate of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, formed in 2010, which works through regional field offices and led the 2025 CVLT child exploitation prosecution.
• United States Secret Service Federal law enforcement agency founded in 1865 inside the Treasury to suppress counterfeiting, given full-time presidential protection in 1902, and transferred to the Department of Homeland Security in 2003.
