• G. Gordon Liddy Former FBI agent and Treasury aide who joined the Plumbers, planned Gemstone for Nixon's reelection committee, was convicted in Watergate and the Fielding break-in, and had his sentence commuted by Carter in 1977.
• John N. Mitchell Nixon's law partner and 1968 campaign manager, Attorney General from 1969 to 1972 and 1972 reelection committee head, acquitted in the Vesco case in 1974 and convicted in the Watergate cover-up in 1975.
