• Allen Dulles Allen Dulles served as CIA Director from 1953 to 1961, overseeing Operation AJAX (Iran, 1953), Operation PBSUCCESS (Guatemala, 1954), and the Bay of Pigs invasion (1961) that ended in catastrophic failure and his forced resignation.
• Arthur Hanes Former FBI agent, CIA confidential correspondent from 1952 to 1959 and recruiter of Alabama Guard pilots for the Bay of Pigs, mayor of Birmingham with Bull Connor, and James Earl Ray's first lawyer.
• David Atlee Phillips CIA propaganda officer in the 1954 Guatemala coup, chief of Cuban operations in Mexico City during Oswald's 1963 visit, co-director of the 1970 Chile task force, and the man Antonio Veciana named as Maurice Bishop.
