In March 1964 the authorizations for Operation Brother Sam included "assembly of 110 tons of ammunition in New Jersey" for the Brazilian coup, after which "Standard Oil of New Jersey obtained new Amazon concessions."[^1] ### The Cuban Nationalist Movement The [Cuban Nationalist Movement](/organizations/cuban-nationalist-movement/), "an anti-Castro exile organization based in New Jersey," was led in the 1970s by [Guillermo Novo](/people/guillermo-novo/). [Michael Townley](/people/michael-townley/) "entered the United States on September 9, 1976, and met the leaders of the Cuban Nationalist Movement in a hotel room in New Jersey the next day: Guillermo Novo, [Alvin Ross](/people/alvin-ross/), [Virgilio Paz](/people/virgilio-paz/), and [José Dionisio Suárez](/people/jose-dionisio-suarez/)," where "Townley asked the Cuban Nationalist Movement to help kill [Orlando Letelier](/people/orlando-letelier/)"; Suárez, "because he had a new job to start in New Jersey on Monday pressed the others to move quickly," and [Ricardo Cañete](/people/ricardo-cañete/) overheard Novo at "a New Jersey Ford dealership." The Chilean naval attaché [Ronald McIntyre](/people/ronald-mcintyre/) testified that "the Cuban group in New Jersey" had refused to attend the visit of the training ship Esmeralda in July 1976 "precisely because of the handover of [Otero](/people/rolando-otero/)." Ross, after his conviction was reversed, offered "New Jersey property" as bail collateral.[^2] ### The Church of New Revelation [The Church of New Revelation](/organizations/the-church-of-new-revelation/) "was a sham religious entity incorporated in New Jersey that served as an umbrella organization for child exploitation operations during the 1970s": [Francis Shelden](/people/francis-shelden/)'s [Brother Paul's Children's Mission](/organizations/brother-pauls-childrens-mission/) on North Fox Island was "incorporated through [Adam Starchild](/people/adam-starchild/) and linked to" it, as were [Cladius Vermilye](/people/cladius-vermilye/)'s [Father Bud's Boys Farm](/organizations/father-buds-boys-farm/) and [Dyer Grossman](/people/dyer-grossman/)'s programs; Starchild also incorporated the [Ocean Living Institute](/organizations/ocean-living-institute/) in the state. [Harris Isbell](/people/harris-isbell/)'s CIA-linked drug tests used "the New Jersey Reformatory" among their sites; [Ronald Hadley Stark](/people/ronald-hadley-stark/) of the [Brotherhood of Eternal Love](/organizations/brotherhood-of-eternal-love/) "claimed to have been on the payroll of the Defense Department from Fort Lee, New Jersey," where Michael Mastromarino's Biomedical Tissue Services later bought bodies from the [Garzone Funeral Home](/organizations/garzone-funeral-home/). [Jeffrey Epstein](/people/jeffrey-epstein/) was arrested at Teterboro Airport on July 6, 2019. [Worthen Bank](/organizations/worthen-bank/) lost 52 million dollars of Arkansas state funds when "the New Jersey securities dealer Bevill, Bresler and Schulman" failed in 1985; [Project Babylon](/events/project-babylon/)'s Iraqi credit of February 1990 went to "a New Jersey fuse maker, Rexon."[^3] ### The Networks [Rinaldo Nazzaro](/people/rinaldo-nazzaro/), founder of [The Base](/organizations/the-base/), was "raised in New Jersey," his company's deeds "listed a New Jersey post office" and "a New Jersey apartment belonging to a member of the Nazzaro family since 1988"; [Richard Tobin](/people/richard-tobin/) of Paulsboro "organized 'Operation Kristallnacht' through Base channels in September 2019" and was charged in the District of New Jersey. [Andrew Takhistov](/people/andrew-takhistov/) of East Brunswick was charged in July 2024 "with soliciting the destruction of PSE&G substations" after watching [Matthew Robert Allison](/people/matthew-robert-allison/)'s sabotage video; [Collin Walker](/people/collin-walker/) of Bridgeton, co-leader of [CVLT](/organizations/cvlt/), was arrested by HSI Cherry Hill in February 2025; the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness issued its threat assessment on [No Lives Matter](/organizations/no-lives-matter/) on August 21, 2024; the District of New Jersey unsealed charges against [Scattered Spider](/organizations/scattered-spider/)'s Jubair in September 2025.
