On the evening of August 8, 1973, Rhonda Louise Williams attended a gathering at Dean Corll's bungalow in Pasadena, Texas, organized by Elmer Wayne Henley as a paint-sniffing party. Along with Timothy Cordell Kerley, she and Henley passed out from the fumes, only to awaken bound and subjected to assault by Corll, who had begun raping Kerley. Henley, feigning compliance, convinced Corll to untie him under the pretense of assaulting Williams, allowing him to seize a gun and shoot Corll multiple times, thereby freeing Williams and Kerley from their restraints.1
Williams witnessed the immediate aftermath of the shooting, standing outside the property with Henley and Kerley as Pasadena Police Department arrived to find Corll's body. In her statements to investigators, she corroborated the sequence of events, noting that Henley had previously mentioned trips to Dallas, Texas, with Corll involving a warehouse offering illegal work for high pay, such as $1500 per week. Her testimony aligned with those of Henley and Kerley, establishing her as a key eyewitness to Corll's final attempted crimes.1
