Peter Diamandis
Founder and chairman of the XPRIZE Foundation, described in his biographies as co-founder of Singularity University, BOLD Capital Partners and Human Longevity; director of Planetary Resources and Celularity; emailed by Epstein's office in 2013.
XPRIZE Foundation
Peter Diamandis, who according to his SALT biography earned degrees in Molecular Genetics and Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds an M.D. from Harvard Medical School, is the founder and chairman of the XPRIZE Foundation (formally X Prize Foundation Inc), a Culver City, California public charity (EIN 52-1876879, IRS ruling date June 1, 1999). Its Form 990 for tax year 2024 reports total revenue of $47,528,889, contributions and grants of $41,198,091, expenses of $49,132,340 and total assets of $146,450,974; Part VII lists Diamandis as "Founder & Chairman," 40 hours a week, with reportable compensation from the organization of $254,129 and other compensation of $41,922. The same Part VII lists him with comparable figures for each year from 2016 ($267,211) through 2022 ($259,828).1
The 2024 board consists of Amir Ansari, Anu Jain, David Blundin, Don Walker, Eric Esrailian, Gil Elbaz, Gregg Maryniak (secretary), Helene Desmarais (until April), James Gianopulos, Jeffrey Shames, John Frank, Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks, Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux, Lauren Selig, Mark Siegel, Robert Weiss (vice chairman), Salim Ismail and Vanessa Speer; Anousheh Ansari is chief executive officer, with reportable compensation of $1,017,714. Ismail is listed from tax year 2018, Blundin in 2022 and 2024, and Avi Reichental in 2022.1 The 990 data read for 2016 through 2024 contain no Schedule L transaction and no text reference to BOLD Capital Partners, Abundance, Singularity University, Human Longevity or Fountain Life.1 Donor names on Schedule B are not public for this organization.
Singularity University and Futurism
The 2008 founding of Singularity University by Diamandis and Ray Kurzweil at the NASA Ames Research Center is described on the Singularitarianism page. Singularity Education Group (CIK 1723877, Moffett Field, California), the operating entity, filed a Form D on November 30, 2017 listing as directors Kurzweil, Diamandis, Erik Anderson and Naveen Jain, with Rob Nail as chief executive officer; it reported $22,465,475 sold of a $33,440,670 offering to 42 investors, first sale December 22, 2015.2
The 2017 About page of Futurism, then run by Alex Klokus, listed Diamandis (XPRIZE) among its "experts" beside Kaila Colbin of Singularity University and Joseph Lubin of ConsenSys.3 A press release of Recurrent Ventures dated July 26, 2021 states that Futurism, "Founded in 2014," "was acquired by Singularity University in 2019 as an independent media organization."3 Klokus's biography on the SALT Conference site says he "built and sold" Futurism.4
BOLD Capital Partners
The BOLD Capital Partners Form D filings begin on November 13, 2015 (BOLD Capital Partners, L.P., Culver City, $200,000,000 offering, none sold at filing), with Diamandis, Teymour Boutros-Ghali, Emilio Diez Barroso and Neal Bhadkamkar as executive officers. Diamandis is named again on BOLD Capital Partners S2 (March 18, 2016), BOLD Capital Partners II (December 8, 2017, $200,000,000) and BOLD Capital Select (June 3, 2020, $100,000,000). BOLD Capital Partners III (October 29, 2021, $250,000,000), the 2022 to 2026 special-purpose vehicles for Viome and others, and BOLD Capital Partners SX2 (May 23, 2025) name the other three men only.5 A capture of the firm's About page dated July 17, 2019 calls Diamandis "a General Partner of BOLD," says he received "a Masters in Aeronautics from MIT and a MD from Harvard Medical School," and lists the companies he has "co-founded" as XPRIZE Foundation, Human Longevity Inc., Celularity and Singularity University.6 The SALT biography of Diamandis gives BOLD as "a venture fund with $250M investing in exponential technologies."4
Planetary Resources, Human Longevity and Bryan Johnson
The Form D of Planetary Resources, Inc. (Redmond, Washington) filed October 21, 2015 lists Eric Anderson as chairman and director, Chris Lewicki, Michael Murray and Joseph Landon as executive officers, and Peter Diamandis and Bryan Johnson as directors; it reports $12,233,209 sold of a $19,988,688 offering to 16 investors, first sale October 6, 2015. Amended filings of May 26 and November 16, 2016 carry the same two directors and report $20,734,417 and $34,783,603 sold to 28 and 29 investors.7 Fortune reported on October 20, 2014 that Johnson's $100 million fund had invested in Planetary Resources, Vicarious, Matternet and Human Longevity.8
Human Longevity, Inc. (San Diego) filed Form D notices from 2019 through 2024 naming David Karow, James Hu and Wei-Wu He (and from 2024 James Huang and Helmut Schuehsler); Diamandis is not named in them. They report $20,060,630 sold to one investor (first sale June 14, 2019), $6,919,380 to 11 investors (2021), $10,500,000 to four (2023) and $31,999,999 to 18 (August 21, 2024).9 Human Longevity, Inc. is the plaintiff in Human Longevity, Inc. v. J. Craig Venter Institute, Inc., No. 3:18-cv-01656, filed July 20, 2018 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.10
Other Form D directorships
Diamandis is named as a director or executive officer on Form D filings for Panjia, LLC (November 16, 2011) and Humin, Inc. (June 18, 2012), both with Ankur Jain and William A. Owens; Hyperloop Technologies, Inc. (June 11, 2015, with Shervin Pishevar, David Sacks, Joe Lonsdale and Jim Messina, $8,694,990 sold to 10 investors); Planetary Power, Inc. (September 14, 2015); Celularity Inc. (September 28, 2017: $40,000,004 sold to 16 investors, with Robert Hariri, John Sculley, Bill Maris and Andrew von Eschenbach; and November 13, 2018: $77,699,988 sold to five investors); Verijet Holding Company, LLC (December 19, 2019); C19 Corp. (April 3, 2020) and Vaxxinity, Inc. (March 17, 2021; $1,352,949,307 sold to 81 investors as filed), both with Mei Mei Hu; Fountain Life Holdings, LLC (January 21, 2021; $2,140,000 sold) and Fountain Life, LLC (December 14, 2023; $87,120,522 sold to 61 investors), both with Tony Robbins; Lifeforce Digital Inc. (February 17, 2022, with Robbins); and XPV Fund 1, LP (April 22, 2025; $300,000,000 offered under Rule 506(c), with David Blundin).11121314
Abundance Lila II, LLC (Miami, Florida), a pooled investment fund, reported $53,150,000 sold to 56 investors on a Form D filed July 21, 2026, first sale July 6, 2026, with Diamandis as executive officer and director; Abundance X Capable, LLC (Santa Monica) filed on October 1, 2026 reporting $3,750,000 sold to two investors. Both were signed by Kenneth Machida, head of finance.11
AJ Scaramucci and Solari Capital
Bustle reported on August 1, 2017 that AJ Scaramucci (Alexander Scaramucci, the oldest son of Anthony Scaramucci) was, according to his LinkedIn page, an "entrepreneur in residence" working "with Peter Diamandis across all of his ventures: XPRIZE, Human Longevity Inc., Planetary Resources, Bold Capital Partners, Singularity University, Abundance 360."15 His SALT biography says he was an entrepreneur-in-residence "alongside Dr. Peter Diamandis building Cellularity," and lists Planetary Resources among his earlier roles.4 Fortune reported on September 24, 2026 that Scaramucci traced his thesis to reading Diamandis's book "Abundance" in April 2012, reached Diamandis through Chris Lewicki of Planetary Resources, and by 2015 was an entrepreneur-in-residence "building the CAR-T cell therapy startup Cellularity and the education venture Abundance Group." Diamandis told Fortune that he had known Scaramucci "for the better part of 15 years," that Scaramucci had been a member of his "Strike Force" (an entrepreneur-in-residence program in which, in Diamandis's words, an entrepreneur travels with him and sits in on board meetings "12-15 hours a day"), and that he was "happy to be a limited partner in" Solari Capital, whose backers Fortune also lists as Ron Conway, Jim Breyer, Stephen Pagliuca and Eric Schmidt.15
A Form D of Theo Rewards, Inc. (February 3, 2020) lists Klokus and an "Ankur Jain" as co-chief executives; the Panjia and Humin filings above carry the same name with Diamandis. The filings do not identify the two as one person.16
SALT and the UAP speakers
The SALT Conference speaker page for Diamandis is tagged "SALT Las Vegas 2019"; SALT Las Vegas 2019 also lists AJ Scaramucci and Anthony Scaramucci. Speaker pages for Avi Loeb ("SALT New York 2022") and Garry Nolan ("SALT iConnections New York 2023") are on the same site, as are pages for Alex Klokus and AJ Scaramucci for those events.4 No record located in a search of the SEC's EDGAR system, the XPRIZE 990 filings or the SALT site connects Diamandis or a Diamandis entity to a UAP organization.
Epstein correspondence
Documents in the Department of Justice Jeffrey Epstein library show Lesley Groff, signing as "Assistant to Jeffrey Epstein," writing to Diamandis at 12:55 p.m. on May 1, 2013: "Jeffrey wants you to please contact him whenever you come to New York...he would love to get together." Diamandis, signing as "Chairman/CEO, X PRIZE Foundation," answered: "Please meet Connie Fox who runs my insane (but wonderful) life. Connie, Can you figure out when I'm next in NYC & schedule time with Jeffrey?" Connie Fox replied that evening that Diamandis would be in New York around June 14 and 15, "but his travel has not been confirmed," and proposed circling back at the beginning of June; on May 2 she wrote "Great, thank you" to the next message. The documents read record no meeting and no money.17
A November 8, 2010 email from Al Seckel to Epstein forwards a message from Neil Jacobstein, president of Singularity University, asking for a conversation about a science and technology education grant that "leverages our team projects"; no grant appears in the documents read.17 Epstein's mailbox also received two Futurism newsletters, dated October 9 and October 12, 2017, each advertising "a live AMA on October 13th" with Kurzweil and Diamandis.17
On October 2, 2017 Masha Drokova forwarded to Epstein a note from Klokus about a meeting with Diamandis's fellow Planetary Resources director Bryan Johnson, and on October 6, 2017 Epstein, Johnson and Drokova were scheduled for a video call arranged by Groff and Kernel's executive assistant; see Bryan Johnson. The library search returns about 316 documents carrying Diamandis's name, most of them duplicate copies, newsletters and mailings; about 270 carry his name on a sender, recipient or quoted-sender line.17
