Maurice Bourges-Maunoury was a French politician who served as Prime Minister of [France](/places/france/) in 1957. His government replaced [Guy Mollet](/people/guy-mollet/)'s, and it was during his administration that the formal authorization for the [Dimona](/places/dimona/) reactor was signed by [Christian Pineau](/people/christian-pineau/), then Foreign Minister, just as the government was being voted out of office.[^1]
