Mark Grobmyer is a lawyer with the firm of Arnold Grobmyer & Haley. He is a godson of [Jackson Stephens](/people/jackson-stephens/) and often did legal work for [Stephens Inc.](/organizations/stephens-inc/)[^1]

### Clinton and Gore

Grobmyer was a law student at the University of Arkansas while [Bill Clinton](/people/bill-clinton/) taught there. A longtime friend of Albert Gore and Tipper Gore, he introduced Clinton to Gore in 1988. During the 1992 presidential election he was a member of the Clinton-Gore Arkansas Finance Council. He and his wife, Libby, were profiled in a 1996 report by the Center for Public Integrity on overnight guests of the Clinton [White House](/places/white-house/); he did not respond to the Center's inquiries.[^1]
