Horsch](/people/rc-horsch/), appeared in his films from 2003 to 2021, and lived off and on from 2016 at the Horsch house at 417 West Chew Avenue in the Olney section of Philadelphia, which is the subject of the [Olney House Investigation](/events/olney-house-investigation/).[^1][^2] ### Films She first appeared in Horsch's film *Slaves* in 2003. She recalled wondering during the shoot, "Is he gonna [expletive] kill me?", and Horsch telling her, "This is a movie. I don't want you to be scared." He later filmed her using drugs for a 2017 documentary, *Whore!*, in which she called her own conduct "slow suicide." She is credited as Krista Marie Killen in his films as late as 2021 and at times gave the Chew Avenue house as her address. In 2014 Horsch self-published a novel, *Empathy: The Memoir of an Empathetic Serial Killer*, whose narrator strangles a woman named Krista and dissolves her body in a basement bathtub.[^2][^3] ### The Chew Avenue House Estranged from her family, she told friends that Horsch was never violent toward her and that she cared for him, but that she was afraid of his son, [Eugene Horsch](/people/eugene-horsch/). She told two friends that one night Eugene broke the door of the basement room where she was sleeping, armed with a gun and threatening to kill her, and that Horsch, then about 80, pulled him away. "Krista was always fearful that if something happened to Ray or he passed away, Eugene would not know what to do and not know how to control himself," a friend, Danielle Wynne, said. A lawsuit filed in 2025 over a 2023 car crash near Adams Avenue and Montour Street named Horsch and Killen as defendants and described her occupation as caregiver.[^2] In late 2024 part of her leg was amputated. Horsch died in May 2025, and three days later a cigarette started a fire in her second-floor bedroom that brought police back to the house, where they found guns and a marijuana grow. She died on August 16, 2025, at 47, of an overdose, according to the *Inquirer*.
