[Colonel Rodriguez](/people/jose-rodriguez/) flew [Ben-Menashe](/people/ari-ben-menashe/) to the plant in a two-man Bell helicopter, and was instructed to allow Ben-Menashe to go wherever he wished. He claimed to only know what he was told about the plant's operations, stating it produced insecticides, despite the strong sulfur smell.
