Hugh Mellor
Brighton, Massachusetts, realtor, owner and president of a real estate holding company, arrested at Louisiana's request and charged in the Troop 137 case.
Hugh Scott Mellor, 54, of Brighton, Massachusetts, was, according to the Record-Eagle and the Chicago Tribune, the owner and president of Reservoir Realty, Inc., a real estate holding company. Boston-area police arrested him and the industrialist Richard C. Jacobs at the request of Louisiana authorities; both were charged with conspiracy to commit homosexual rape and aggravated crimes against nature in the case of New Orleans Boy Scout Troop 137, organized by Richard Halvorsen and Raymond Woodall. He was described in May 1977 as a millionaire, one of nineteen men charged in the case.1
