[Glen R. Shockley](/people/glen-r-shockley/) was a Director of [FIDCO](/organizations/first-intercontinental-development-corporation/) and a consultant to Fortune 500 Companies in business management, internationally known as a financial consultant in funding. He was also a corporate partner in [MIL](/organizations/meridian-international-logistics/), a holding company headed by [Robert Booth Nichols](/people/robert-booth-nichols/).[^1]

Shockley's name appeared in [Michael Riconosciuto](/people/michael-riconosciuto/)'s statement to the [FBI](/organizations/federal-bureau-of-investigation/), where Riconosciuto claimed that [Robert Booth Nichols](/people/robert-booth-nichols/) "runs [Glen R. Shockley](/people/glen-r-shockley/). [Glen R. Shockley](/people/glen-r-shockley/) runs [Jose Londono](/people/jose-santacruz-londono/)" and that Nichols, [Gilbert Rodriguez](/people/gilberto-rodriguez-orejuela/), and [Michael Abbell](/people/michael-abbell/) were "all in bed together." Riconosciuto further alleged that Nichols handed Abbell $50,000 cash to handle an internal affairs investigation by the [Justice Department](/organizations/department-of-justice/) that would have led to the extradition of [Gilbert](/people/gilberto-rodriguez-orejuela/) and [Miguel Rodriguez](/people/jose-santacruz-londono/) and [Jose Londono](/people/jose-santacruz-londono/), because they were "intelligence people."[^1]

His involvement with [FIDCO](/organizations/first-intercontinental-development-corporation/) and [MIL](/organizations/meridian-international-logistics/) places him within the complex network investigated by [Danny Casolaro](/people/danny-casolaro/) as "[The Octopus](/concepts/the-octopus/)."[^1]
