[George P. LaBarge](/people/george-p-labarge/) was a Secret Service agent, aged 41, who was killed in a head-on collision on March 5, 1983 (this became known as the [Queen's Accident](/events/queens-accident/)). The collision involved a Mariposa County Sheriff's vehicle driven by [Roderick Sinclair](/people/roderick-sinclair/) and occurred while scouting Queen Elizabeth II's motorcade route in the Yosemite National Park foothills. [Donald Robinson](/people/donald-robinson/) and [Donald A. Bejcek](/people/donald-a-bejcek/) were also killed in the accident.[^1]
