George Newsome (died 2014) lived on Ruth Street in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, a block from the crematorium attached to the [Garzone Funeral Home](/organizations/garzone-funeral-home/), which its owners, the brothers Louis and Gerald Garzone, operated as Liberty Cremations. In September 2026 four people familiar with the pornographer [R.C. Horsch](/people/rc-horsch/) and with the Garzones' business identified him to *The Philadelphia Inquirer* as the employee through whom Horsch said he had access to the crematorium.[^1]

A woman who worked on Horsch's films from 2003 said that Horsch boasted of access to the crematorium through an employee named George, whom he paid in drugs, and of having filmed a scene there. The house on Ruth Street was one that Horsch was known to frequent. Newsome was arrested for heroin possession in 2011 and for cocaine possession in 2013, according to court records, and died the following year, according to an obituary cited by the *Inquirer*. Gerald Garzone said he had never heard of Horsch; he acknowledged knowing a man named George from the neighborhood and declined to say whether he had employed him. "I don't know anything about that," he said. The Garzones pleaded guilty in 2008 to selling more than 240 corpses to a tissue-recovery company.[^1]
