Gabrielle Amarando

Gabrielle Amarando, who grew up in Doylestown, went missing in September 2012 at 22. On August 12, 2026, Philadelphia police identified her as one of two women shown alive and then apparently dead in video and photographs recovered from the house of R.C. Horsch and Eugene Horsch on West Chew Avenue in Olney, in the Olney House Investigation. Her body has not been found.¹²

Her stepmother, Lora Timmons, said that she had wanted to model from a young age but "always found the wrong crowd," had struggled with addiction since her teens, and often visited Timmons in North Carolina until the family lost contact with her in September 2012. "We always thought she was just off doing her drug thing, living her life," Timmons said. "She was a sweet little girl. She and her father were best friends." Timmons had not heard of the Horsches before the police announcement. In a social media post her mother wrote that she suffered from "a drug addiction that she couldn't escape" and that she now believed her daughter had been murdered.¹³⁴

Police Inspector Raymond Evers said of the images: "It's dark. It's real dark. What we saw is these two girls alive, there is a period of time, and what appears to us they are deceased," adding that if the images were not altered the medical examiner would consider the women depicted to be dead. A childhood friend, Ashley Levin, said: "Drug addiction and mental health can take people to some really terrible places, but that doesn't define that person. Gabby was just, she's so much more than that."²⁵
