Dennis W. Wright was a member of the team assembled in 1969 to design the [Prosecutor's Management Information System](/programs/promis/), working under co-directors [Joan E. Jacoby](/people/joan-e-jacoby/) and [Charles R. Work](/people/charles-r-work/) with project manager [Bill Hamilton](/people/bill-hamilton/) at [Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co](/organizations/peat-marwick-mitchell-co/).[^2]

By 1974 Wright was working for [INSLAW](/organizations/inslaw/) directly. By 1990 he was employed by the [Department of Justice](/organizations/department-of-justice/) as a Senior Research Computer Scientist in the ICMS Re-engineering project within the Division of Innovations and Systems Development -- the DOJ's Integrated Case Management System successor to PROMIS, which Wright had helped design two decades earlier.[^1]
