She enticed [Mordecai Vanunu](/people/mordecai-vanunu/) to leave [London](/places/london/) for [Rome](/places/rome/) a few days before the publication of his story in the *London Sunday Times*. Once in [Rome](/places/rome/), Vanunu was drugged and returned to [Israel](/places/israel/) by ship to stand trial.[^1]
