On June 19, 2026, a woman riding with [Eugene Horsch](/people/eugene-horsch/) in a car stopped by a federal park ranger beside Independence National Historical Park was carrying an identification card in Tonzelli's name; police said the woman was not Tonzelli. The stop led to the search of the Horsch house on West Chew Avenue in Olney and to the [Olney House Investigation](/events/olney-house-investigation/).[^1][^2] ### Life She attended Archbishop Ryan High School, according to her Facebook page. She had a son at 18, who was adopted by other relatives and last saw her when he was five. A friend, David McCarty, who lived with her on Wensley Street in Kensington, said that her last Facebook post was on August 17, 2022, and that he heard nothing from her after that month. "Even in the throes of her addiction," the *Philadelphia Inquirer* reported, she was "fiercely loyal," and she once threw herself in front of a tow truck to stop it taking McCarty's car. Friends reported her missing in February 2023, telling police she had last been seen at the Horsch house the previous summer.[^1][^3] ### The Horsch House [R.C. Horsch](/people/rc-horsch/) met her in Kensington when he was in his late seventies and she was living at a drug house; he later said she had worked as a home health aide before she went missing in August 2022. A witness told police that she had been an aide in the house and believed that she and Eugene Horsch had a disagreement over money, according to law enforcement sources cited by the *Inquirer*. From about 2020 until at least September 2023, seven months after the missing-person report, a nude photograph of her with what appeared to be a black eye and blood on her lip was among the lead images on Horsch's website. NBC10 reported that during the investigation detectives learned that Eugene Horsch "allegedly made a statement suggesting Tonzelli would 'never be seen again,' according to court documents."[^1][^2][^4] Her son, Nicholas Nagle, said in September 2026 that she had been entered in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System only after her identification card was found: "Imagine if it was a completely other woman that he made the fake ID in the name of.
