Ann-Marie Murphy was the Irish girlfriend of Nezar Hindawi.
Ann-Marie Murphy was the Irish girlfriend of Nezar Hindawi. She was unwittingly used in a 1986 plot to bomb an El Al plane. Hindawi, acting on instructions from Mohammed Radi Abdullah as part of an Israeli "black" operation, intended for her to board the plane with explosives in her bag, leading to her death and the deaths of all other passengers.
The plot was foiled by Israeli security. Ann-Marie Murphy was interrogated by British security, where she revealed Hindawi's involvement. She later gave birth to their daughter in Ireland.1
