White Prison Newsletter
The White Prison Newsletter is a neo-Nazi accelerationist publication co-organized by Brandon Russell from federal prison, targeting incarcerated persons and endorsed by Pittsburgh synagogue shooter Robert Gregory Bowers.
The White Prison Newsletter is a neo-Nazi accelerationist publication organized by Brandon Russell and other former Atomwaffen Division (AWD) members during Russell's incarceration following his 2018 federal explosives conviction. The newsletter was distributed to incarcerated individuals and promoted AWD-style Siege ideology and accelerationism among prison populations.
The newsletter's Telegram channel listed Russell as a key contributor. Sarah Beth Clendaniel is also reported to have contributed at least one opinion piece to the publication. Robert Gregory Bowers, convicted of murdering 11 people at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh on October 27, 2018, publicly endorsed the newsletter.
The newsletter represents one documented example of AWD's capacity to sustain ideological production and recruitment during periods when its leadership was incarcerated. Russell and Clendaniel's co-authorship of content for the same publication during their separate incarcerations was one dimension of the relationship they developed through prison correspondence beginning in approximately 2018, a relationship that later produced the 2023 Baltimore Power Grid Conspiracy.
No criminal charges related specifically to the newsletter's production or distribution had been filed as of mid-2026.1
