Stop Hate Brasil

Stop Hate Brasil is a Brazilian NGO founded by researcher Michele Prado that monitors far-right extremist networks online, with a particular focus on the Terrorgram Collective's Brazilian infrastructure, and has served as a consulting partner to ABIN and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security since 2023.

Stop Hate Brasil (also rendered Stop Hate Brazil) is a Brazilian non-governmental organization founded by Michele Prado to identify, document, and counter far-right extremist content on digital platforms in Brazil, with particular emphasis on the radicalization of children and adolescents through online channels. The organization is funded in part by the Social Change Initiative and maintains a formal voluntary consulting relationship with Brazilian government agencies including ABIN (Agência Brasileira de Inteligência) and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.1

Activity

Stop Hate Brasil's primary documented contribution to the investigation of Brazilian accelerationist networks was Prado's 2023 formal report to ABIN and the Ministry of Justice identifying Telegram channels linked to Terrorgram Collective members operating in Brazil, including channels associated with the pseudonym "Wolf Boy Winter" and with Ciro Daniel Amorim Ferreira, subsequently designated by the US government as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist in January 2025. The organization has also documented the network's exploitation of gaming platforms (including Roblox, Fortnite, and Minecraft) and YouTube recommendation algorithms to introduce adolescents to extremist content.2

By 2024, Stop Hate Brasil had identified more than 40 violent incidents in Brazilian school settings connected to some degree with online extremist networks over a three-year span, and had flagged that at least two Terrorgram Collective channels active in Brazil had been created by adolescents rather than adults, indicating that the network had successfully recruited Brazilian minors into its content-production infrastructure. Stop Hate Brasil issued public-facing reports, referred to as the "Sons do Odio" (Sons of Hate) report series, documenting these findings for civil society audiences.2
