The Arab League is a regional organization of Arab states in North Africa, the Horn of Africa, and Western Asia. In April 1976, the Arab League denounced the visit of South African Prime Minister [John Vorster](/people/john-vorster/) to [Israel](/places/israel/), along with the [OAS](/organizations/organization-of-african-states/), the [Soviet Union](/places/soviet-union/), and the [Netherlands](/places/netherlands/).[^1]
