[[Simon Gabbay]] was a cousin of [[Ari Ben-Menashe]]'s father and the head of a Jewish organization in [[Paris]], [[France]]. He served as an [[Israel|Israeli]] intelligence asset for many years.[^1] [[Simon Gabbay|Gabbay]] coordinated the October 1980 [[Paris meeting]] between [[Israel|Israeli]] and [[Iran|Iranian]] delegations, which included [[George Bush]], [[William Casey]], and [[Mehdi Karrubi]]. His role was to eliminate direct contact between [[Israel|Israeli]] and [[Iran|Iranian]] embassy personnel.
