Michael Salcido was as a victim of child sexual abuse by [[John David Norman]] in [[Chicago, Illinois]]. Salcido experienced exploitation within Norman's network, which involved underage boys for prostitution and pornography production. The abuse occurred in the context of Norman's operations using apartments for recruitment and illicit activities.[^1] ### Report and Testimony In June 1978, Michael Salcido reported [[John David Norman]] to the police, providing details about the abuse and operations at the Wrightwood Avenue apartment. This report led to a police raid on the apartment shared by Norman and [[Phillip Paske]], where authorities seized thousands of index cards detailing clients for [[The Creative Corps]] organization used to sponsor boys for prostitution. Salcido was set to testify against Norman in upcoming legal proceedings related to child trafficking and exploitation.[^1] ### Murder and Investigation Michael Salcido was murdered in February 1979 with his throat slit, shortly after the June 1978 raid and ahead of his testimony against [[John David Norman]]. The murder occurred as Salcido was preparing to provide further evidence in the case. The [[Chicago PD]] investigated the killing and attributed it to drug dealers, with [[Phillip Paske]] positioned as a suspect due to Salcido's impending testimony against Norman.[^1] ### Footnotes [^1]: Dovey, S.
