Colonel [[Jose Rodriguez]] was a pilot in [[Paraguay]], serving as the pilot for [[Ari Ben-Menashe]] during his inspection of [[Carlos Cardoen|Cardoen Industries]]' chemical plant. He is noted as having no relation to [[Andres Rodriguez|General Andres Rodriguez]].[^1] [[Jose Rodriguez|Colonel Rodriguez]] flew [[Ari Ben-Menashe|Ben-Menashe]] to the plant in a two-man [[Bell helicopter]], and was instructed to allow Ben-Menashe to go wherever he wished. He claimed to only know what he was told about the plant's operations, stating it produced insecticides, despite the strong sulfur smell.
