John von Neumann was a Hungarian-American mathematician and physicist who made significant contributions to quantum physics, functional analysis, set theory, economics, computer science, and nuclear physics. He was a key figure in the [[Manhattan Project]], working alongside [[J. Robert Oppenheimer]].
