Brad Kenneth Spafford was born in 1988. He is married to Jacqueline Spafford (born March 1989) and has two daughters. He attended Isle of Wight academy where he was on honor roll[^5] and won an award for craft arts in 2005.[^4] He worked at [Collins Machine Works](https://collinsmachine.com/), a naval focused machine shop. Spafford was a licensed private pilot.[^3] On July 4, 2021, Spafford disfigured his hand "while working on a homemade explosive" (the confidential human source [CHS] who reported Spafford to the FBI knew him before and after the accident). The CHS was concerned Spafford was interested in committing [[act of terrorism|acts of terrorism]]. On December 11, 2024, Spafford registered Wandering Woods Ranch LLC[^1].
