#Ted Koppel is an American broadcast journalist, best known as the anchor and managing editor of *Nightline* from 1980 to 2005. On November 28, 1995, Koppel hosted a *Nightline* exposé that made the [[STARGATE PROJECT|Star Gate program]] public[^1]. During the broadcast, Koppel interviewed [[Dale Graff]] of the [[Defense Intelligence Agency|DIA]] and [[Robert Gates]] of the [[Central Intelligence Agency|CIA]]. Graff defended the integrity of the programs, while Gates downplayed their significance.
