This background positioned him as a key witness exposing the broader child trafficking and abuse ring led by Norman and his associates.[^1] ### Abuse and Testimony In late October 1973, Kenneth Hellstrom reported to the Homewood Police Department that a man had taken him to an apartment, offered him beers, and performed oral sex on him as part of exploiting underage boys for pornography. This abuse occurred directly within [[John David Norman]]'s operations at the apartment leased under the alias Steven Gurwell by client [[Charles Rehling]]. Hellstrom testified against [[John David Norman]] in 1976 during legal proceedings, providing details about the abuse he endured and the apartment's role in producing illicit materials involving associates like [[Phillip Paske]].[^1] ### Murder and Investigation Kenneth Hellstrom was murdered in January 1977, shortly after his 1976 testimony against [[John David Norman]], with his body discovered in the snow bearing a slit throat. [[Phillip Paske]] emerged as a prime suspect due to his close association with Norman, including cohabitation in the Chicago apartment for pornography production and assistance in launching The Delta Project during their time in Cook County Jail.
