Henry Hans Holthuis served as a Dutch district attorney during the 1990s, holding a position of significant authority within the Netherlands' judicial system. As a district attorney, Holthuis possessed substantial legal power and responsibility for prosecuting criminal cases, making his involvement in illicit activities particularly concerning given his role in upholding and enforcing Dutch law. His position placed him within the upper echelons of the Dutch legal establishment, where he would have had access to sensitive information, influence over legal proceedings, and the ability to shape investigative priorities within his jurisdiction.[^1] ### Rolodex Affair and Bell Boys Investigation Henry Hans Holthuis became embroiled in the [[Rolodex Investigation]] investigation of 1997-98, which exposed a sophisticated callboy service catering to Dutch justice officials and other influential figures. The investigation centered on the [[Bell Boys]] service operated by [[Karel Maasdam]] (alias 'Alex Privee'), which provided underage boys to high-profile clients throughout the Dutch establishment. Holthuis's private number was discovered in the rolodex of [[Professor Der Van Roon]] from the University of Amsterdam, who served as a reputable go-between for clients of Maasdam's service, facilitating connections between the prostitution operation and its elite clientele.[^1] The investigation revealed that Professor Van Roon frequented the [[Festival Bar]], a boy brothel in Amsterdam, and maintained detailed records of his clients in his rolodex, which was provided to police by an informant. Alongside Holthuis, the rolodex contained the private numbers of at least two other Dutch district attorneys: [[Henk Wooldrik]] and [[Jan Wolter Wabeke]]. This discovery made clear that multiple high-ranking justice officials were simultaneously involved in patronizing child prostitution services while holding positions responsible for prosecuting such crimes.[^1] According to information provided to the Dutch current affairs program EenVandaag by an alleged bookkeeper of Karel Maasdam named [[Richard Carl-Samson]], [[Warwick Spinks]] frequently pimped boys to both [[Joris Demmink]] and Henry Hans Holthuis. This connection directly linked Holthuis to one of the most notorious international child traffickers operating in Europe during the 1990s. Warwick Spinks, a British national who operated from Amsterdam, was known for his extensive involvement in child prostitution, pornography production, and trafficking across European borders, making his association with a sitting Dutch district attorney particularly alarming.[^1] ### Footnotes [^1]: Dovey, S.
