[[Adel Mohammad Atamna]] was a Palestinian from the Arab village of Kfar Kara'a, located within the pre-1967 [[Israel|Israeli]] border. He was a student at [[Bar Ilan University]] in 1972, where he became friends with [[Ari Ben-Menashe]].[^1]
[[Adel Mohammad Atamna|Atamna]] invited [[Ari Ben-Menashe|Ben-Menashe]] to teach English at his village high school. Their friendship deepened when [[Adel Mohammad Atamna|Atamna's]] Jewish landlady evicted him for being Arab, leading [[Ari Ben-Menashe|Ben-Menashe]] to offer him his apartment. [[Adel Mohammad Atamna|Atamna]] referred to [[Ari Ben-Menashe|Ben-Menashe]] as his brother.[^1]
[[Adel Mohammad Atamna|Atamna]] was the individual [[SHABAK]] attempted to recruit [[Ari Ben-Menashe|Ben-Menashe]] to spy on, an offer [[Ari Ben-Menashe|Ben-Menashe]] refused.[^1]
